From March 4 to March 6, Automation World 2026 (AW 2026) was held at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul. As one of the largest and most influential exhibitions dedicated to robotics and automation, this year’s event reached new heights in both scale and scope. AW 2026 brought together 500 leading companies from around the world to present cutting-edge technologies across 2,300 exhibition booths. The event featured two special pavilions—AI Factory and Humanoid Robot—showcasing the latest breakthroughs in embodied intelligence and other frontier technologies.

This unit marks Mech-Mind’s public debut of its latest breakthrough application—the general-purpose robot “Eye + Brain” handling transparent and translucent objects. Based on the self-developed, high-performance Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL 3D camera and an embodied Brain trained by massive real-world data, robots can precisely identify various transparent objects, including packaged goods with transparent wrapping, plastic storage containers, bottles and cans, and perform picking with high stability and accuracy. This effectively addresses the detection and picking bottlenecks of complex transparent and translucent items—including retail goods, medical supplies, and optical components—while meeting the demands of applications such as goods sorting and parcel induction.

The unit marks the global debut of the Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL, Mech-Mind’s newly launched self-developed 3D structured-light industrial camera. Equipped with a dedicated optical module and advanced transparent-object imaging algorithms, the Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL overcomes key vision challenges when imaging highly transparent materials. It delivers reliable imaging for various transparent and translucent objects, significantly enhancing the robot’s visual recognition and handling capabilities.

The Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL will soon be officially launched, further expanding Mech-Mind’s 3D structured-light camera lineup. The Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL will strengthen the capabilities and continuously broaden the application boundaries of the general-purpose robot “Eye-Brain-Hand” technologies.

This section unveils the global debut of Mech-Station InstaDepal. Purpose-built for modern smart logistics and flexible manufacturing, Mech-Station InstaDepal is an integrated, standardized, fully automated depalletizing and palletizing intelligent robotic station. It combines a high-precision 3D vision system, high-performance industrial robots, and intelligent AI control.

The station flexibly adapts to different materials and pallet structures, supporting random arrivals and new SKUs. The Plug & Play design supports fast deployment within just 30 minutes, reducing production line setup time from weeks to minutes. Designed for modular flexibility, the robotic station also supports multiple configurations and add-on modules, allowing fast changeovers and reassembly while maximizing equipment utilization.

Mech-Station InstaDepal can be widely applied across industries such as food, medicine, e-commerce, and logistics, handling depalletizing and palletizing tasks for a variety of materials, including cartons, sacks, totes, and parcels.

With the Mech-Eye LNX-7580-GL 3D Laser Profiler and the Mech-MSR 3D Measurement and Inspection Software, the general-purpose robot “Eye + Brain” can provide high-precision 3D data at high speed. It simultaneously analyzes the fused 3D scan data through full-scale comparison with the standard CAD model of the workpiece. This ensures an accurate deviation analysis.

The Mech-Eye LNX-7580-GL laser profiler supports single-frame HDR—capturing high-quality 3D point cloud data of workpieces with dark and reflective surfaces at a single scan. The dual-camera system meets the demands for objects requiring a larger FOV. The Mech-MSR is equipped with AI tools supporting CAD deviation analysis, and enables one-click comparison between input images and CAD models. The Mech-Eye AIC-Lite GL 2D camera is Mech-Minds newly launched 2D intelligent camera series, specifically designed for 2D+3D collaborative scenarios. It is designed to be used alongside Mech-Eye 3D cameras and can be widely applied in industries such as automotive and consumer electronics for various 2D positioning guidance, error-proofing, and recognition tasks. With the Mech-Eye LNX-75300-GL 3D Laser Profiler supporting wide X-axis (422 mm) and Z-axis (295 mm) inspection ranges, the system can provide high-resolution imaging of large tires with black, light-absorbing surfaces and complex tread patterns in a single scan. Self-developed deep learning algorithms accurately recognize text on tire surfaces under challenging conditions such as complex fonts, variable positions, and background interference. The system achieves a recognition accuracy of ≥ 99.9%.
