01 Real-World Applications of Embodied AI
Generalized Picking of Transparent Objects

Transparent and translucent objects remain challenging for robots to perceive and pick reliably. Mech-Mind combines self-developed imaging algorithms for transparent materials with an AI “brain” trained on extensive real-world data, enabling robots to recognize and pick a wide range of such objects. Intelligent path planning and precise motion control help the robot adapt its grasping strategy to each object’s pose and pick reliably from randomly arranged objects and unsorted piles. This approach enables automated sorting and picking in retail and pharmaceutical applications.
Mech-Station InstaPick: Robotic Station for Bin Picking and Precision Loading

Mech-Mind demonstrated Mech-Station InstaPick in a sheet-metal handling and projection welding application. Powered by embodied AI and 3D vision, the station identifies thin-walled, irregularly shaped parts in deep bins and estimates their pose, including which side faces up. The Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL captures 3D data for part recognition and pose estimation, while the Mech-Eye PRO S-GL supports fine position correction even on scratched surfaces. AI-based path planning and dynamic collision avoidance help the robot retrieve parts near bin edges and corners. It then orients each part, transfers it to a positioning station for projection welding, and unloads the finished part before repeating the cycle. The product is suited to sheet-metal handling in automotive, construction machinery, and home appliance manufacturing.

This unit showcased Mech-Mind’s general-purpose “Eye + Brain” system for tire DOT code inspection. The upcoming Mech-Eye LNX-7300-GL 3D Laser Profiler and Mech-MSR 3D Measurement and Inspection Software work together as an integrated AI + 3D inspection solution, simplifying deployment of character-recognition applications.
The Mech-Eye LNX-7300-GL offers wide X- and Z-axis measurement ranges and rapidly acquires high-quality 3D profiles of large tires, preserving fine details in embossed characters. Powered by deep-learning algorithms, the solution accurately locates and reads DOT codes despite light-absorbing black rubber, complex surface textures, and varying code positions, achieving a recognition accuracy of ≥ 99.99%.
02 Brand-New 3D Cameras for Demanding Imaging Tasks
Mech-Eye Range XL-GL
- Long-Range 3D Imaging for Large, Highly Reflective Metal Parts

Point cloud generated by the Mech-Eye Range XL-GL 3D Camera
Mech-Mind previewed the upcoming Mech-Eye R****ange XL-GL, a long-range industrial 3D camera designed for demanding imaging conditions. Its wide field of view (FOV) and extended depth of field (DOF) enable the camera to capture high-quality 3D point clouds of large, highly reflective brake discs at working distances of 2–5 m. The camera maintains stable 3D imaging under ambient light levels exceeding 600,000 lx and captures 3D data from red-hot parts at temperatures up to 1,300°C. These capabilities support applications such as loading and unloading large parts, depalletizing and palletizing large loads, and handling or inspecting red-hot parts.
Mech-Eye UHP-040-5M-GL:
- High-Precision 3D Imaging for Miniature Electronic Components
Point cloud generated by the Mech-Eye UHP-040-5M-GL 3D Camera
Designed for miniature precision applications, the Mech-Eye UHP-040-5M-GL offers an XY resolution as fine as 0.017 mm and Z-axis repeatability of ±1 μm. It captures detailed 3D point clouds of small electronic components, including flexible printed circuit (FPC) connectors, printed circuit board (PCB) connectors, and graphics-card cable connectors. The resulting data resolves fine features such as dense pin arrays and narrow, deep slots, supporting precision assembly, measurement, and inspection in consumer electronics and semiconductor manufacturing.
Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL
- High-Quality 3D Imaging for Ultra-thin Parts & Transparent Objects

Point cloud generated by the Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL 3D Camera
The Mech-Eye ULTRA M-GL combines self-developed thin-wall imaging algorithms with high-performance optics to generate detailed 3D point clouds of sheet-metal parts as thin as 1 mm, clearly revealing fine details such as edges and holes. This supports robotic handling, machining, and assembly of thin-walled parts in automotive and construction machinery. The camera also supports transparent-object imaging and captures data in as little as 0.08 seconds, enabling high-speed robotic recognition and picking for transparent objects in retail, healthcare, and logistics. It provides 5 MP depth resolution and 0.2 mm measurement accuracy at a 2 m working distance.
