Like all products in the UR+ ecosystem, Mech-Mind's AI + 3D vision solution has been extensively tested for compatibility and integration capabilities with Universal Robots cobots. With the plug-and-play URCap, UR cobots can now be even more easily integrated into the Mech-Vision system.

Combining high-accuracy Mech-Eye industrial 3D cameras with AI-based Mech-Vision machine vision software and Mech-Viz robot programming software enables use in a wide range of industrial applications, including bin picking, machine tending, localization, palletizing and depalletizing, assembly, and more. Thanks to advanced algorithms and a pre-trained deep learning model, even complex tasks like item picking, the random picking of unknown objects, can be handled. Once installed, custom vision projects can be created using the code-free user interface to capture images and locate objects. Projects can even be triggered using the UR-Teach counterpart to determine object poses. Additional features such as collision avoidance and optimal gripping strategy can be integrated during robot programming.
